The project, carried out over six months in the villages of Chattar and Broli, Tehsil Rehra, District Bagh, AJK, focused on sustainable water conservation and climate resilience. To address the challenges of water scarcity in hilly regions, semi-structured mini ponds (20x20x3 ft) were constructed for domestic use, livestock, and kitchen gardening. Additionally, 25 rooftop rainwater harvesting systems with 1000-gallon fiberglass tanks were installed, ensuring reliable water access for 50 households (445 individuals). The project also included community training sessions on water conservation, system upkeep, and climate adaptation. These efforts significantly reduced the water-fetching burden on women, promoted hygiene, and fostered environmental sustainability in the region.
